any good online sources for the spring type of hose clamps?

i wonder how many thousands of those i've thrown away over the years. replaced them with the screw style ofcourse.

They're perfect for a place where you'll never gain access to again once installed. Don't have to worry about them vibrating loose.

I'll agree, if its something I'll need to take apart at some point, I'd rather have the worm gear style.

I've found a few places online. Would like some more to compare too though.

ya thay suck

and if you own a jeep liberty replace the lower rad hose spring clamps. thay snap and let all the coolent out. then bam you need a major fix . most happen when hot and driving. thay overhead and pop some stuff in the motor. :eek1:

When I replaced the fuel lines I went with all new spring clamp hoses. NAPA carries a small selection. I the end I had to contact a manifacture because the size I needed was not available. The odd size is the return filler hose I think 5/8. They had some odd sizes in stock so I could use a spring clamp with a 5/8 hoses.

I find these clamps to be easy to work with. The originals are still good after 30+ years. So with new ones these should last another 30+ years.

I prefer the spring type clamps over the screw type. Here the screw style gets rusted and a lot of times you end up breaking them to get em off and have to replace em.
