Has anyone seen a grille similar to this, with many small slats tightly spaced, for a 1984 style Blazer?

Oh.. ok.. I have heard that name.. but it was used for a grille that looked similar but with wider slats and gaps. I'll check it out, thanks!

I have a billet aluminum grill that spans the distance of the center grill insert but leaves the headlight bezels alone...I paid like $115 for it through work...

Looks like a standard billet to me....

Call summit and order a Stull grille, polished. They are about $100.

Wow.. that's sweet, rjfguitar. I really like your beast. I like the color and the grille. Did you paint the lights silver or something? Or is the light assembly aftermarket too?

The only thing is.. I like how these hotrod grilles have the slats so tightly spaced that you almost can't see through them.. looks really cool to me. I wondered how a Blazer would look like that.

lmc has the ones you're looking for. the one i got from them started rusting a month after i put it on though.. :(

I saw one on a blazer that was like the hot rod grilles you speak of really tight spacing on the slats. It was at a car show in Utah the guy had the grille made for $750 :eek1:

the more rows the more $$$ it cost.

there is usually a seller on ebay that sells them (but i couldnt find his listing right now) for $115.

That's pretty close! That looks really cool. :D

i would try to google a phantom billet grille. i cannot remember the site off the top of my head but there are a couple that sell those grilles. they go in front of the headlightes to :D

I paid $250 for this one in the year 2000. Its the same as the one on Ebay. My brother bought one exactly the same from summit for around $120. I would do summit before ebay because the shipping is so quick.

I have a strange idea and I am wondering how it would work...

First of all.. I believe that the reason i can't find any grilles like I want is because you have to have large gaps for the headlights to get through.. also.. narrowing the grilles a lot would also restrict the airflow..

So what I am thinking is that I could move the headlights down to the bumper... so you would just cut some holes in the bumper and put your lights in there. But what kind of lights? Is there a small light that could have both the high and low beam in one? If you had to you could just mount your high and low beams in the bumper.. but it could look cluttered.

The other thing moving your headlights does is it gives you more radiator area in you grille. So this would allow you to have the type of grille I want.. and possibly you could put other radiators there.. such as more transmission coolers or diff coolers or even just a larger radiator that spans the entire distance.

was able to find a grille in jcwhitney.com but i don't know exactly if they have the one that you're looking for. you can try checking them out coz last i saw from when i ordered they have a number of grilles for various models.
