"Hotwiring" door power windows

There isn't much to this, but I figured I'd put it out there for anyone having problems with their power door windows. I have a couple spare doors, and needed to roll down the windows.

Pop the switch off the door panel. Flat blade screwdriver pressed in hard from the left or ride side, then upwards pressure will get the clip over the door panel, allowing the switch to come out. Wiggle the switch off the wiring connector, and run one 12V wire and one ground to the connector. 12V to the Brown or blue wires, and ground to the opposite. One will make it go up, the other will make it go down. Realize that the brown wire on the connector is the only one that the switch pin passes all the way through.

This was in a 1980's passenger side door, a 4 door power window setup drivers side would be pretty complex I'm sure, but the fact remains, each motor only has two wires going to it. Motor goes up or down depending on which wire has power and which has ground. They spent more time ruining a good door than fixing the problem. :(

That's "A", "C", and "E" along the left row top to bottom. "C" is the brown wire.

Note to all...don't get in there and start cutting wires if you don't know what they do. The other spare door had an access panel cut behind the trim to get to the motor, and the wiring was ALL hacked up. Window motor works fine, PO obviously had no clue what they were doing.

The switch went out in my mom's '81 T/A. In order to get the windows to roll down we'd just touch the pink/red wire to the brown to go down and the blue to go up

Blue-like the sky sky=up
