I have some 38.5 Ground Hawgs. I only have mud around here and they do real well. They will go through more mud than my Swamper SX's, and also go anywhere my friend with boggers can go. They will last a long time on the street also. I have never tried them on rocks, and have heard they don't do real well on them.
They do well on the rocks. Again these things wear like concrete on the road. I have only one rifde on mine but a buddy ran them and was walking anywhere he wanted to go with no problems.
I have a set of 38.5's and they are great for taking up space in a driveway.
No really my buddy has had a set for a few years and they have been through just about anything. He has tried to tear them up on the rocks and they just keep holding air. They do wear like iron, not a good tire if you want to have an excuse to go bigger in a few months.
my hawgs are nice... personally... people gripe they run small... however they run small so order them bigger than you want.....
my 17x40x16.5's on 16.5x12 monster steel rims (black) are 38.8" tall...
however in NJ 38's are the biggest you are allowed.. so I went with a wider rim to pull the height down....
They ride like crap when they sit for a bit... well the bias ply do.. they get flat spots.. even when I go somewhere and the truck sits for 1hr... but once they warm up they are great......
here are some pics of a guy that used to hate them...
he (gotsmoke) had swampers.. got stuck in 4wd... a guy pulled him out in 2wd and had hawgs.... then the guy went where he got stuck in 2wd!!!!!
my friend then looked at the guys tires.. they were clean as his swampers were like mud donuts!!!!
thus he owns hawgs and loves them... can you tell????
