My dash is showing its age, esp. around the speaker grills. I was looking at the LMC ones, are they worth it? Any issues with them?

Thanks

My dash was all cracked around the speakers so I bought a dash cover, a lot of places sell different ones. A good cheap way to go.

These are the best fitting aftermarket and they are in oem colors!

They have several dealers set up, Year One is one of the companies that they listed. Should be able to look at their site and get the pricing.

I got mine from CI. Asside from my shotty trimming :o, it fits alright...

I've got an LMC replacement. Seems to be good quality, fits pretty well, the only complaint I have is it seems a bit rubbery, almost like it seems a bit too soft of material.

I need a new dash but NOT one of those "PLASTIC STRAP ON" kind :D:haha::haha:.

I had the same problem with cracking around the speaker grills. I thought about going with a cover or even a new dash pad from LMC. I had a custom upholstery shop do my headliner and sun visors, he told me he could sew marine grade vinyl to the dash to match the color. I let him do it for $150. It looks like a custom dash that cost a lot for than $150. All the seams are French stitched. Look into this option for a long lasting original look.

I have one of those ABS covers on my K10. Works ok but its enought of a difference over original I dont really care for it. When I locate a blue one that isnt totally destroyed I plan on buying it. Of course I might just end up getting a black one for that truck anyway.

That sounds AWESOME. Great idea.

I got a black slip on cover for my 81 GM truck from LMC about 5 years ago. It still looks good, and a heck of a lot better than the cracked factory dash pad. I believe it cost about $ 100.
