i just bought my truck a few weeks ago and the car dealership said it had a 6inch lift on it. how do i know if this is true? how can i tell what brand? the shocks are plain white with a red boot. and the ride is really really rough. feels like im riding in a tank. are they to stiff?

what year? White shocks with red boots sounds either Rancho, or Skyjacker. With the super stiff ride quality, im betting on Rancho. I have a 6" skyjacker and its not that bad. Btw, don't quote me on this, you can buy any color boot for any shock nowadays. Got a Picture?

I think if you post some side shots of the truck we would be able to tell. 6" with 37s would look alitle tight. Is there any issues with tire rubing.

Post pics of the trucks overall stance, pics of the springs, the ends of the springs where the bolts go thru, and the rear lift, whether its blocks or springs.

I would guess that's a 6" lift, but it's really hard to tell the brand. I think the only markings they put on the springs are stickers from the factory, and those are probably worn off by now.

You need to get pics of the spring pack, UP CLOSE, not from a distance. Up close as in getting on your knees and under the truck to get pics of the pack thickness so we can see how many leaves in the pack, and the ends of the main leafs so we can see the design of the wrap.
And on the rear, get under and take a shot of the rear u-bolt section so we can see if there's blocks or a spring lift instead.

Don't be afraid to get dirty. Crawl under there and once you're done, take your pants off and wash them.

lol
are there any numbers painted on the springs or did the dealership give you the rattle can treatment?
