I got it off... I ended up taking the whole damn bumper off, bringing it in the living room, messing with it for an hour, getting pissed off at my mom for even SUGGESTING I take it to a mechanic...
So what do I do after an hour of NOTHING? I throw it in the back of mom's truck, cruise to the garage at work, find Sean, tell him I'll take advantage of that favor he owes me for going to Auto Zone for him a few times... He says "climb in the cab of this semi and hit the brake so I can check the lights and I'll do it" so I climbed into the drivers seat and hit the brakes, and all the air compressors went off and crap /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
Then he took off the bolts in a matter of seconds with his impact wrench and I was on my way to a whole new set of problems... But as of 3:00 today, my 30 minute project I started on Friday morning was complete.
However, I don't quite like the looks of it, the brush guard part goes out too far, I think... Look at these pics and give me your opinion:
Sides are protruding about 1 1/2 inches past the body, and don't wrap around the lights too well... And Dan at D's 4wd won't give me my money back for selling me a shitty looking brush guard /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif
So, I'll never again waste my money there for their overpriced crap... And I'll continue making the 45 minute treck to the store advertised on my windshield for all my parts... except the safari basket, because I found a hell of a deal online for the one I want /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
