Could anyone give me site that will identify the vin number?

Better yet, assuming the axles/gears on your truck is stock. You can look in the glove box for the manufacturing code and look that up or post it here, sure someone will know it.

Rather than guessing - a very simple way to figure out your gear ratio is to put a white chalk mark on your rear driveshaft and one on a tire - have someone drive your vehicle slowly forward as you count how many driveshaft rotations happen for one tire rotation. Just over 3 rotations equals 3.08 gears, about 3 3/4 rotations equals 3.73 gears, just over 4 rotations equals 4.10 gears, 4 1/2 rotations equals 4.56 gears.

Just because your diff tag or vin tells you one thing, doesn't mean your gears haven't been changed - this way gives you a definite answer and is simple.
