Enjoy your time off. If an when you come back, I suggest you avoid referring to my fellow Mods as "dumdums". :deal:

I can now say I witnessed the fastest banning ever. I laughed as if I was reading a lounge thread.:haha:

yeah, on a blazer-type-vehicle (SUV), I think that the receiver hitch mount looks best, but only if you have a receiver hitch. Are you gonna want one with the top on or off?

I also like CK5 because of no jerks. When you're an dummy like me, it tends to act like a jerk magnet.

hey socalsnake, you sold your blazer eh:? too bad it was a nice truck just needed a little finishing done.

I remember seeing it when i was in socal a year a go january, too bad it busted fo fast

what kind of flag do you want to put on? a larger "flag" flag? or one of them little orange ones for wheelin?

the recever mount would work good for a big flag

the orange one come with a springy mount you could attach to your bumper.

Wow! six posts to ban! I dont know if there is a record but that has to be it.

I forget exactly what but several years ago a cop friend told me there were some legal "flag respect" requirements for this sort of thing.

Now how many cops would know this anymore I have no clue. Considering how many "redneck in-gin-ear'd" flag setups I've seen around where I live the stuff you guys have shown so far should pass muster if I had to guess...

well there are no legal requirements for flag flying, its a freedom of speech thing. but there are some guidelines that the military uses to show respect to the flag. Again these arent "laws" and in my opinion if you fly the stars and stripes out of love and respect i dont have problem with it. http://www.usflag.org/flagetiquette.html

You could just buy a couple of the military antenna mounts made for the m1009 from ebay, odiron.com, or saturnsurplus.com. That is how I plan to eventually mount flags on my truck.

I don't care how you fly, desecrate, or whatever with The Flag. As long as you are doing it and not imposing on other's rights that's fine. Burn it in protest fine.

Now if somebody decides to go to a Veteran's cemetery and walk up to a random funeral service and burn The Flag in protest then those in attendance may wrap you in that burning flag, toss you in the grave, and drop the casket in on top of you.
