How can a i see the difference between a 305 and a 350 moter.

Thanks

Block numbers are pretty much the only way... though somehow my mechanics knew I had a 327 just by looking at the block without seeing the numbers... of course I hinted that it might be a 327 to begin with, but they were right. My 327 was a 69 block, but isn't worth the metal used to build it...

the best and only true way to tell is the casting # on the driver side rear of block on top of bellhousing lip. run it or post it up and we can do it for ya.

or Suffix code, which is on the passenger side deck of the engine block, just forward of where the head meets the block. Behind the alternator.

how was the 69 327 not worth anything ?

:O

and yeah go with stamping code it will tell you not only size but year, model, tranny, hp and torque and mains and carb usually

front stamp pad last two or three letters of it capitalized

post here or whatever and one of us will decode it for you if you cant
