the axle i just got seems to be in awesome shape. just 22k miles on it, but it is from an 85CUCV pickup, so it's still 23years old. how can i tell if i need to replace the kingpins. we're about to tear down the axle and pull the shafts out so i can paint/clean it up real nice. we're going to replace the bearings and such also.
the brakes look awesome, no rust or anything...but im gonig to clean them up, with new pad and get the rotors turned obviously.
one other thing, the stock hubs are there and they seem to turn/lock great. are these junk??? should i plan on upgrading to some other aftermarkets???
on this axle i will be running 42tsl's with the stock 4.56 gears if that matters about the hubs. just mud, no rocks or anything like that. thanks in advance guys, i searched but couldn't find anything.
