How come intercooled 6.5's arent very popular?

How come intercooled 6.5\'s arent very popular?

Maybe im not looking hard enough- but if you had a 6.5, wouldnt you want to add an intercooler?

Yes, main detractor is $$$$, plain and simple.
It's a $1000-1400 upgrade alone.

I have one. Only $500.00. Mounts under bumper and is kinda small. Not sure how much it helps, but can't hurt.

Not really, but if you had the 6.5 TD then yes.
You can only benefit from the intercooler if you have a turbo, the regular 6.5 is just a bigger brother to the 6.2 and doesn't need an intercooler.
