So in the picture, what's a good way to get into that left side corner to clean up the rust and prep for paint? Looks like getting a grinder in there would be a pain.

Also in the right of the picture, I need to cut out that cab support and weld something in its place. You can tell from that picture but it's rotted through. Where can I find this part, or an acceptable replacement?

Here is the cab side of that same spot

One more question for guys familiar with sand blasting. As I work underneath the truck I'm noticing more and more hard to get to places that have rust. I can rent a 300# sand blaster and compressor for $400. Then I need media. Just wondering if it is worth the hassle to blast. If I did rent all the equipment I would probably just blast the underbody and maybe some of the frame if I had time and materials.

In my opinion nothing beats sandblasting for ridding ALL the rust out of the metal's pores...but its a hugely messy operation, best done outside.far from anything you care about getting dusted !..

There is now some places that use baking soda to blast, instead of sand, that is much easier to clean up afterwards, you can simply hose it off and its not harmful to most things...

Yeah. I think the sandblast is the only way I'll be able to get it all and seal it up the way that I want.

As far as that hole in the floor. I'm thing of just rebuilding that corner with some 18g CRS. Actually both corners and that entire vertical section. Those panels are $100 a piece from LMC and that doesn't include the vertical piece that's right behind the A pillar. Anyone done this or have any tips?
