Before I hack anything up even more. Anyone got a tip? I bought a seal puller for the job, but its useless here.

I just did the same and a hammer too. They can be a bitch. Just get under the lip(from the inside)and pry. Just keep changing locations a little at a time.

I just got a second-wind and went out there and finally got it. I just scrapped the puller idea and hit the lip with a screw driver and pried it out.

This better resolve my leaky t-case issue. If its not the front seal, then I don't know where else it can leak from. I had the t-case apart and resealed the case up good, its sealed well where the adapter is also.

I'm thinking the front seal was bad, but I have a feeling this won't be the last of my t-case leak woes.

A common problem is transmission fluid leaking through center of the drive shaft yoke.

I had 4x4 shop replace my front seal on the Tcase. It didnt fix the problem, so they had to put a "sleeve" in there. I dont remember what they called this, but he picked it up at Napa and its fairly common. So if you dont get the leak fixed, try one of the sleeves. (I know someone on here will know what its called).
