I have tried the "search", I have tried posting with attachments, nothing seems to work...

I have also sent 2 e-mails to the "administrator", but after several day's no response

When I try, I get an error saying I need a security token, which no one seems to know what it is...

What am I doing wrong?

I link from photobucket for the most part but have never had a problem uploading an attachment

When you upload photos to a server you give the rights to those photo's to the sight owner. Not that its a big deal but I choose to be able to control which sites get access to photo's. Just a personal preference so I will link images. If the link goes away the photo goes away.

I'm guessing this has to do with where you're hosting the pics...

Not true.
Unless you sign a form/agreement to give license, other than hosting, away....

You give the site license to DISPLAY your image, not for profit.
An intellectual property creator owns 100% of the created property;
Unless express agreement is provable, or, others were involved/present at the TIME of creation.....

I know copyright, and intellectual property rights, pretty damn well... ;)

Where it gets fun, is when you get into percentages...
Like: Tom contributed 10 words to a 200 word song, therefore,
Tom owns 5% of the intellectual property...

Unless, those 10 words were created in conjunction with another writer of the same song,
In which case, the provable percentage of Tom's ownership is divided by the percentage of influence.

Fekkin' property rights...

First what browser are you using? If it is IE update to the latest version(8) Clear history, cookies and certificates. Next thing I would check if that didn't work is to turn off any internet security programs you have running. My bet is your IE is corrupt. If you are using firefox, get rid of it nothing but problems.

Get google chrome problem solved :thumb:

Every image people share on this website is basically for profit. They charge a membership fee thus they make a profit from the contributors of this forum. If not a membership fee through advertisers. You could be banned and your account locked out yet your picture and posts would remain. Hosting your images seperately at least allows you to remove those images at will.

I never read the membership rules when I signed up. But I suspect there is something in there regarding hosting images you upload to their server. Only makes sense to protect themselves anyway.

If this site can make money off the pics I post....more power to them.
Ya I wasn't trying to say they shouldn't or cant. That's entirely seprate from what I was saying. By hosting images sperately you get to choose when those links expire regardless what the admins of the site do.

In fact I think most hosting sites change the link adress automatically to control bandwidth. That's why you see so many red X's everywhere.
