I know on my 89 Burb it was just, disconnect the brake lines, 2 bolts that hold it to the booster studs and off it comes.

ya, looks like there are things in the way to get to it???
Where is this part located? There shouldn't be any belts near the master cylinder.

crap now im confused :doah: maybe im thinking of the steering pump, the thing that has lines coming from the steering box. where is the master cylinder?

i feel like a complete moron now :haha:

The master cylinder is the part on the driver side firewall with the brake lines coming from it. It sound like a power steering pump that you are talking about.

well i need to remove both, so maybe that relieves some of my stupidity haha. will an older steering pump from the 70's bolt directly in place of the one i got now? my steering pump is shot and my 2wd box has the old style lines anyways, so i was thinkin i could knock out 2 birds with 1 stone. would it work?
