How do I tell if my trailer brakes are wired up right? Is there some easy way to tell, before I plug the trailer into the truck and fry the brake controller? It looks like they are all hooked up righ there are the axles? Just want to make sure the plug end if good.

Any advice would be the appreciated. BTW, it has the newer 7 prong plug.

Thx.

That looks great, thanks.

What about testing the brakes to make sure they engage? hook up a battery to appropriate pins on the connector, then watch, listen for the brakes to grab on the trailer?

That is what I am thinking.

I have somewhat limited experience in the matter, but last time I needed to know if the brakes were working I cranked up the brake controller and found a patch of sand.
Besides they were so rusty I'm sure every dog on the street knew it when I came to a stop. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

hook the trailer up and roll about 5-10MPH and hit the brake controller and see if the trailer stops you... oh do it with the trailer empty /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
