My 2006 Sierra developed a large fuel leak right at this connector. The metal line just broke away from the plastic clip.

I have the circular fuel line tools for all the other lines. This one looks like the blue tabs get pushed together and up. Does anyone know how they release?

Whats remaining of the metal line looks fused to the plastic. I hope i don't need a new plastic line. Thanks in advance for your help.

I think you're right. The metal line just seems fused to the plastic. It's almost 20 years old. I guess it needs a new plastic line also.

I have the for sale sign in the window, but everytime I try to drive it town for some exposure something breaks. I'm starting to feel bad for whoever buys it.

After messing with it for awhile the plastic line broke. Gotta order a new one.
Now it's too late but when the clear plastic piece is stuck on the line, it can come out with it and peel it off then Reinstall in the plastic line.
Looks like yours is blue not clear.

You can get new ends for plastic line . Good parts stores have them . I have a kit to make my own plastic lines . Just did a set on a 8.1 c3500hd of mine .

I was wondering about that. My parts store didn't know about them. That's good to know thanks.

The blue piece slides up or down to release the line inside of it.

Come 5 hrs north in the real rust belt and play for a day :rotfl: :deal:
I can't imagine. Here in NJ the roads are white with salt after a .5" dusting of snow. This truck was always my choice in inclement weather being 4x4. I guess it paid the price.

I am smack in the middle of 2 HUGE road salt plants and food grade salt plant also .

People these days are spoiled with salt any time its crap out . Learn to drive or plan for it and stay home .

46+ years in upstate ny on the ny / pa line at the base of the finger lakes .
