How do you adjust the detent cable on a turbo350

I have a 1976 k5 blazer 4x4 with turbo 350 I need to adjust the detent cable and wanted to know the correct procedure to adjust it

yeah I did the search and didn't easily find anything. That link has some info.

So you need to unlock the center sheath. the big plastic barrel shaped part behind the bracket. I know 2 different clips 1 yo pull up and leave the other you need to press and hold. Once unlocked
push the center sheath, on front side of bracket all the way into the outer sheath. then wide open throttle, preferably from the pedal. this will pull the center sheath out to proper length.
lock the clip you should be good to go.
