Ive been screwing around with all kinds of video I have lately. This one is of what we called "the Doorless Suburban". Cause the 1st thing I sold off it was the drivers door for $50.

I bought it for $235 (talked them down from $275) off craigslist. They said it had an engine fire and didnt run anymore. All I saw wrong was a section of burnt wiring from what looked to be some oil or atf off the valve cover that ignited. I hooked up the wires, and this was the result... after I sold the ralley wheels and front bumper to get my remaining $185 back out of it. Turned out to be a really good running SB400.

Here's another parts rig, a $250 truck that we mud raced. After we raced it, I parted it out, got my money back, paid for the racing fee's and fuel, and I kept the motor and axles for free. It was another good running SB400.

And a more "expensive" Suburban I bought for parts that I paid $600 for. I mud raced it before I tore it apart.

My "Budget Suburban" is a rig I have no cash into, just alot of time and parts from parts rigs and alot of trading. But we still drive it like we don't care:

Lastly, my friend brought down a lincoln Towncar to run the circle track with. He didnt want to change tires at the end of the day and drive it home, so he sold it for $50 instead.

I drive all my rigs the same way. Hard!
If I have nothing in it, I don't care.
If I have a lot of money in it, I feel guilty not using it.
The results are the same in the end.

pretty sweet, i ended up getting my sb400 the same way, bought a crappy 82 suburban out of a impound yard that they basically forgot to scrap. so gave them 200 bucks for it, threw all the crap off my k5 onto it and wheeled it for a few years.

also bought a 86 k5 blazer that was sitting in a field for 250 bucks, put about 200 bucks into it and 5 days worth of work and sold it for 1200 bucks a week later

picture of it after i buffed the hell out of it

From now on when I buy parts from you I want a disclosure saying you have never driven the vehicle!!! :D

Actually, I think maybe it's safer to buy parts from me that I've driven the heck out of. Cause they're well tested and I know if everything's working or not. Seems like the rigs I dont take off road anywhere end up having bad parts that I assume are good.

Here's another truck that I had to "test" out (the Utility bed at the beginning)

Though this one I paid alot more for ($1250), drove it for a while, towed with it, off-roaded it, and then kept the Warn XD000i winch on multi-mount off it and resold it for $1350. In turn the guy who bought it put a Landcruiser body on it for an off-roader.
