How do you install Blazer emblems?

Do you need the front fenders off the truck to install the "blazer" emblems? Or are there other ways?

What year?

Older ones bolt through the fender, right, but IIRC there are access holes (though not convenient ones) inside where you can weasel a ratchet or wrench in.

Newer ones, IIRC, just stick on with fancy double-stick foam tape. Remove with dental floss.

Yea an older one (1976) I fogot to install the emblems before I installed the new fenders I got. Who ever had the fenders before me used bondo or something to cover up the emblem holesm, so now its pretty hard to see where I need to re drill the holes.

So is taking off the fenders my only option?

I was hoping someone had invented something to where you dont need to take the whole fender off to install the emblem.. Something along the lines of maybe a moly bolt of some type, if you get what im saying...?

There are some little plug looking things. I think they're called barrel clips. They have them in the help section in the parts stores. You push them into the holes, and the pins on the emblems push into them and pinch onto the posts. They work great and save the hassel of having to put the nuts on the inside of the fender. THe emblems can come off with them, but you really have to pull on the emblem to get them off. Make sure the clips will fit the post snuggly before putting them in the fender. They are a pain to get back out.
