How do you install emblems?

Do you need the front fenders off the truck to install the "blazer" emblems? Or are there other ways?

There is special kind of glue, that body shops can give you.

I'm putting emblems on new fenders so it's easy now.........the fenders aren't on yet..........

I don't really see how to put them on with the fenders on except to glue them as previously mentioned............


assuming your old emblems are off,,,,,,,,,,,

I just took a set off and to do it right you wanna have the fenders off unfortunately.

IIRC, they have a little clip that goes in the hole, then you can push the emblem in it from the outside, instead of the nuts on the inside.

Thats what i need, i just gotta figure out what they are called so i can find them

the ones I have I got at the dealer, they were whe ones that told me to use them instead of the nuts.

Now that you mention it, I seem to recall parting out a truck once that had those on.
It would work perfect for someone that lost the emblem or it's broken and they don't care about the left over pieces inside.

Can I get more info on these clipps? What I asked at the local dealer they looked at me like I had six heads! I was even looking into double sides tape. I really do not want to pull my fenrders off to put these guys on!

I can not help you much with that, I can draw them up but they will not really understand it.
I will do some searching and if I find them I will post up.

Just so you know, those plastic barrel clips will do OK for a while but will eventually loosen up and drop the emblems, the ones I found on an old car were steel and they wouldn't let go.
You need to measure the pin you have on the emblem and get the right size ID, then you will need to drill out the whole bigger to accomodate the plastic clip
