I am a freight broker, selling high and buying low all day. Pays me enough to have a few hobbies. could always use more though.

How do you make your money??? You don't need to list your companies name.

US NAVY,
and i fix other peoples vehicles on hte side. It is rare that i ask for money but i have been paid a few times

sell custom medical equipment. mainly pediatric wheelchairs for children with cerebral palsey, spina bifida, etc. I also sell custom adult wheelchairs kind of like the one Christopher Reeve was in (if you ever saw it). Working on a chair right now for a guy who was in a car accident and is now paralyzed from the neck down. Sometimes it's sad but for the most part it is a very rewarding job, and it pays good.

i am a financial advisor, its not what i would like to do all day, but i do get a good feeling from helping people out who cant sleep at night do to money trouble. also im going to school for welding and fabrication. anyone on here who has financial questions feel free to send me an e-mail. [email protected]

I sit on my a$$ for 12 hours a day driving an 80,000 pound truck full of consumer goods for inconsiderate people who cut me off in traffic putting my job and their life at risk. And then they flip me the bird if I speed up and don't let them cut me off... :surepal: I wish I knew where they work, I would go threaten their job.

Right now, my day job is a graphic designer (for ad layout) for the local newspaper.

I started a web site design/web hosting/computer repair business in back '01 that's really keeping me busy this year, and will be my only source of income soon :D

I'm a security guard. Nothing glam, but at godaddy, we get about twice the pay of normal security places and all I have to do is talk to you guys for 12 hours. I do a little ebay on the side. Have a friend that owns a furniture store. If I feel up to it, i'll list stuff of his on ebay and if it sells, i'll go get it from him for wholesale and ship it out. I'm usualy too lazy for that though.

Just a note on that, I know how you feel. It's WAY different, but when I was moving, I had my Ram with a trailer on it. I was comming up to a light and a guy cut me off 5' in front of me and 15' from the light. I got out of the truck after shifting half my cargo and started screaming at the guy through his window for being stupid. I never cut off a rig again.

primarily i'm a Class A RV tech for Monaco Coach. i also do a little plowing in the winter, i buy and sell car and truck parts, and lately i have been picking up cheap cars, fixing them, and turning them for a profit.

I'm a firefighter. Run into burning buildings, drive big trucks really fast through traffic, eat, watch TV, and wave to the kids (and pretty ladies)! Best job in the world!

Be careful with buying cars, fixing, and selling. My buddy just got an unfriendly letter because he sold to many cars and didn't have a dealers license. Now, he just doesn't register them. He gets the title with sig, and when he sells it he hands that over. He never actually owns the car I guess. From what I remember, you can only sell 3 or 4 cars a year without a dealer license.

Never cutting off a rig will help you live a longer life, and I am thankful that you are more considerate now. Some people must not understand what it takes to stop 80,000 pounds with only 10 "little" brakes. I may have been harsh in my post, it just really annoys me when people put everything I own at risk because of their stupidity. My alertness while driving has saved a few people from horrible accidents - as in my semi turning them into hamburger.

You may call it sitting on your ass I call it moving the economy. You and I share a common interest. Different sides of the game but common. Without trucks, drivers and brokers we would be a naked, starving uneducated toothless, walking society.

I am currently looking for a job one where I can work when I want ( I am serious here I got health probs) anyone know of any let me know otherwise all you guys are paying me

I'm an emergency structural repair guy, in charge of our company's Emergency Response Division. I do a lot of structural shoring after fires, when cars hit buildings, collapses, etc. It's a cool tie-in to my job as a volunteer fireman. Nothing like shoring up a building with a truck in the basement.... :D

I know a guy in your situation that took $500 and got an online stock trading account and turned that into 70K a year. Works about 6 hours a week.

When I was in college I used to drive Module haulers (cotton modules). We were 80K+ loaded and I had people cut me off all the time. They think you can stop on a dime like they can in their little Altima. Whenever I see a rig stopped on the road with a mangled car sitting off in the median I know what happened.

I'll play,

I work in a cubicle all day andd sell things to unsuspecting people(I was basically trained to be a very good salesman that can max out a credit card in one sale). :smirk: Problem is that I hate my job because I believe that I still have a conscience.

I also go to college at night to get my degree in Mechanical Engineering.
