Hey guys,

How do you remove the ignition switch on a '72? I got the bezel turning counter-clockwise, but after a while it seems to just spin w/o doing anything. Do you need to remove the key cylinder first, or something? What's the trick?

Thanks.

Is there a small hole next to where the key goes in..insert a safety pin or paper clip into that hole while key is in acc.mode..and the whole tumbler will fall out..bezel unscrews after that by holding the ign.switch and spinning the bezel..good luck

Thanks for the info Wrath. Poked a paper clip into the hole w/ key in the ACC position...feels like I'm depressing something, but the tumbler's stubborn. I'll just WD40 the crap out of it and see if that helps. I knew there had to be some trick to it! Thanks again.

Sledge,

This might help.....ask me how I know....!!!!

Thanks Greg, I think I was just missing step 3 -- turn it CCW some more. I'm gonna go try it again.
