Dallin said:Just replaced a leaking diff gasket with The right stuff. I stopped buying gaskets. I buy the caulk tubes of the right stuff and use it for everything:
transmission pan
oil pan
thermostat housing
diff cover
transfer case
intake manifold
valve covers
yoke splines

Should never be used on a auto transmission pan.. A chunk from the inside could come of and cause havoc to the internals.
The transmission filter stops the chuncks just fine. You need not worry about havoc in your transmission.

for another basis of comparison, i use the grey on the 3rd members in my Zuk. to get them to break loose, i have to jack the TRUCK up by the third member.
)I don't know what kind of transmission filter you use, but the ones I buy look like nothing more than window screen...Dallin said:The transmission filter stops the chuncks just fine. You need not worry about havoc in your transmission.
