My 73 blazer came with an accel super coil in it and I am wondering if anyone knows what resistance values I should test for, or if there is a better way to test it. It has been having ignition type problems. It runs for a while then just dies. I installed an inline fuel pressure guage and it has fuel pressure, plus it floods if you try to restart it immediately after it dies so I don't think that fuel is the problem. I am pretty sure the unilite distributor needs a new control module, but the coil is also suspect. Any info or help would be greatly apprecieated.

If it's marked Accel, it's probably bad! OK, I'm going to get flamed for that one. Your experience may vary. The test really isn't any different from a stock ignition coil, so go ahead and look up those numbers. The primary should be really low - like a couple of Ohms and the secondary in the range of K-ohms. If anything I would expect the primary to be a little lower than stock. For the secondary, who knows. If they used better windings, the resistance would be lower, but aftermarket coils sometimes add turns for higher voltage, which can make the resistance higher.
Unfortunately, when a coil is going out, it can work intermittently, which makes the troubleshooting harder. You might look around for a stock coil from somebody here or from a junkyard. It will help with troubleshooting and it's good to have a spare.
