Well , on my 83 there are a row of screws under the front edge , a screw on the side , and then the screws in the bezel .
Once all screws are off , pull it out and off .
If you have a/c vents , the hose gets disconnected on pass side after you have it up and off enough .
on the 77 in the garage , there were just the under screws , and dash bezel screws .

I've found that taking off the a-pillar plastic helps it slide in and out a bit better...
