local army/navy surplus yard quoted a price on 14ff rear complete drum to drum, 4.56's, detroit, out of ex military 1.25 ton pickup, guarantees everything but brakes, 30k give or take, 800.00. is this a decent price since I probably wont have to rebuild anything? also, I know this has been covered zillions of times, but this will bolt into 85 k5, right?
ps -- I wont tell you what he wanted for a 60

I think the price is a little high, but not too bad. No it wont bolt right in. It will need the perches and shock mounts relocated. The 3/4 ton 14 bolts are the direct bolt ins.

The guarantee is nice but the price sounds high. With a little patience, similar surplus axles can be found in my area for around $400~$500.
