How far do you drive to work?

I drive anywhere from 2 miles to 80 miles a day. farthest yet was 120. I will never do that again:crazy:

On average i drive 500-650 miles a week.

Nope, I might have an interview coming up with a company that is 32 miles from the house one way, would be the farthest I ever traveled for a job, but I need a job.
Personally I love driving, so I wouldn't mind that kind of commute. I would buy a cheap econo car, though.

Thinking about it, 32 miles isn't that terrible far. There are a lot of people that live up here in my neck of the woods and commute down there to your stomping grounds to work. That's 50+ miles one way. A guy working for us now used to commute from a town that's 20 miles North of us all the way down to Colorado Springs, but then that's why he quit that job.

Right now it's about 6 1/2mi. one way... through fourteen traffic lights, and two of the worst intersections in my area.

Shortest ever was about 100yds... from my rack in Troop Berthing, through the passageways and ladderwells to the flight deck on Belleau Wood.

Longest was 55mi. one way. My K5 was my DD at that time. 9-10mpg was not kind to my wallet, even at $1.25/gal. Couldn't do that with today's gas prices...

Right now I drive 25 miles each way on the highway. I only drive the K5 about once a week and ride my bike the rest of the time, with the price of gas I can ride the bike all week for less than the one time I drive the Blazer.

bout 10 mins and 7 miles, mostly residential surface streets. zero traffic at 4:30 in the morning. I love it.

'bout 300 feet. maybe 320. on days when i have to go to the far end to get supplies, it might even be 800

Wow alot of you are very lucky. I plan on moving sometime in the near future but I need to make sure the position I have right now is permenant or maybe another position.

I work @ Pfizer in Kzoo, Mi. Used to be The Upjohn co. then Pharmacia and Upjohn, then Pharmacia, then Pfizer bought us out. Turmoil for the last 11 years. Just hold on another 5-8 and I'll be happy.

How does your job longevity look?
