Just wanted to know how much you think my junk weighs

As it sits '73 burb....

'73 frame
'78 body
350 with alum intake & Iron heads
th350
np205
14bff with drum brakes
d44
16"x10" rock crawler
36"x14.5" PJ Dirt Grips
4" suspension
2" body

Full interior with power buckets

Don't worry about spare and stuff I can weigh at home.

Any body got a guess?

Not that I am overly concerned with weight, I do run a 'burb and am looking for a d60 front, just thinking.

Thanks for the responses
Jess

Rent a portable axle scale for an hour (they have them at a rental place I use sometimes, pretty cheap rates, but I'm not sure exactly what as I've never had cause to rent one). I think people use them to check trailer weights and such things.

Drive each tire on the scale. Repeat for all tires. Add them all up. Do it all right there in the parking lot of the rental place.

Thanks for the input guys I'll try the stop on the way home from work and let you know how tubby I am.

If they won't take me I'll do the rental Idea.

Full 20 Gal gas tank

Go To A County Dump. Drop Off Some Trash While Youre There. Thats How I've Always Been Weighed. Helps Clean Up My Garage While Im At It.

i'd guess 6000-6500#. my K5 weighs 5250 with 1/2t gear loaded with spares/tools/gas. i second the idea of going to a county dump or transfer station.

Go late at night. Many are 24 hr and have nothing better to do at 2 am.

Thanks for the input Greg I figure when I can actually get it weighed (got kicked out of the weigh station the other night:( ) it will probably be more like 5 or 6 lbs.

What do we say he with the closest guess will be the new owner of a th350 that needs to be rebuilt. I can't seem to give it away:haha:. Wish I owned something to give away you all would want but I don't even have any thing I want:doah:('burb, wife and kids not for sale or pick up).

I would say your around 6400lbs . My 1 ton 2wd crewcab w/ 454 is 5600+ and my burb on 1 ton axles and 42's with some sheet metal removed and a 1 1/2 x 1/4 wal dom cage is around 6700+ . don't get stuck out wheeling with your buddies that have toyota's or jeep's :D .

No kidding I am actually building it to be the "recovery/tow vehichle". My other rig is an XJ with too much into it to sell so I am puttin an exo cage and lots of chevy stuff under it. So I'm looking at 15k lb winches for the front and it is already set up with power for a rear hitch mounted winch.
