I finally got around to replacing the tiny air cleaner on my K5 and since I had a new piece of junk laying around..............................I made it into a shop clock.

thats awesome. we have one made out of a flywheel, 2 timing chains and timing gears, and some random metal for the arms. pretty cool.

That clock is cool. I want one, and may steal your idea. As for the computer, I don't think that I can get a away with that but the idea is cool.:D

hmmmm.....   maybe I could hang a 14 bolt rear on the wall with a clock in the differential cover...

:rotfl: you might be a redneck if...

I like it but the only thing I would change is make the hands bigger and maybe black or red or some other color. Those just look too Fancy to be on a shop clock.:p:

That is rad...where did you get that clock mechanism? I have a broken Z06 rim from my camaro that I want to make into a clock and couldnt seem to find any cool mechanisms.

I was thinking about goin to walmart and see if they have any cheap clocks I could rob one from.

WWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY back when I made a clock in wood shop we had these really cheap, simple clock mechanisms that ran off a single AA battery. I'm sure if you couldn't find one independent of a clock, a cheap wall clock won't run you more than a couple bucks.

they sell just the guts..

You can buy just the "guts" of a clock at any hobby or craft shop--I think Ames stores and maybe even Wal-Mart has them, they only cost 3-5 bucks--I'm thinking of making a few timing chain and gear clocks, since I have several used one lying around,I saw them at a swap meet, they look cool!--good use for the edelbrock air cleaner--it would have rusted in a year or less anyway!!..
