Mine are rusted out on both sides and its cheaper than buying new doors. Anyone done it?

Theres lots of cheap body parts for Chevy trucks. Don't get 'em. I used cheap doors / fenders on my k20, it sucks. If youre going to do it, spend the $ on decent parts, like Goodmark, they are GM licensed, and actually fit right.

door skins are very doable but they are a pita and require alot of time and patience.

alot of ppl on ck5 sell their doors when they go to tubes.

just wait around in the for sale section. some guy i remember wanted to give his away.

exactly... people are always parting rigs out, or going truggy or whatever... just wait for some decent used ones to come up and snag 'em.

Yes..BUT..

Yes,they will fit,but the inner door panels are different on 77-up models...not a big deal if the panels come with the "new" doors...just wont "look" like the OEM 73 - 77 style..--I also learned the door window glass got thinner in the 80's trucks the hard way--tried using one from a 73 I had in an 82--it fit,but the glass was too thick to fit the felt in the tracks right--too tight!...had to do it again and trade the glass for 1980's-up style... --I shoulda just swapped the whole door on--would have been MUCH easier and faster...
