how hard to find a 14ff w/ 3.73\'s??

I need to get a Corporate 14 bolt full floater with 3.73 gears. I'd like a traction device, but can live without one for now. Anyone have any ideas where to find one or even know of one?? It's going under my /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif.

I got 3.73's in my front Dana 44 and don't have the cash to convert it, and I'd still like to offroad till I can afford a better front axle all together. /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

i found one in a junkyard but it has the pos gov locker in it. check around some salvage yards, pull the diff covers off and check the gears.

Are the rear axle assemblies interchangable between 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive suburbans (73-89)?

My 14bff came out of a '76 3/4 ton pick up, and also had the 3.73 with the Gov-Loc. Would rather have the 14bff gov-loc over the 10 bolt unit and also the open carrier, although now i kinds need to get a better locking unit for it, as it still slips too much.

I don't know and I have been living here for a while. Black road auto savlage in Santa Maria comes to mind, but I feel they are a bit pricey. I got most my used stuff by going though the Easy Ad

My brother and I have a 14 bolt with 3.73 in it, but I got dibs on it.

Pretty much every time i go into the junkyard around here i see about 3 or 4 14ff's... usually 3.73's sometimes 4.10's.
