How Hard to remove the body..

I am wanting to raise or remove my 87 K5 body of the frame so I can remove all surface rust on the frame and replace all the body mounts. Not sure how hard this is to do and the process to do so. I guess I could just spray rust eliminater on the frame and then under coat it but, since i am repalcing some sheet metal and floor pans I figures it was better to do it right the first time. Also don't I need to lift the body to remove the rusted tail pan and to weild in new floor pans.
