I bought my truck back in febuary, and I have yet to take the top off, but I am picking up a piece of fruniture that is 67inches call, and 55 inches wide, so I doubt it would fit in the back of my truck with the top on.

Is it possible for one guy to get the top off? I just undo all the bolts and it should come right off right?

yeah, at about 250 lbs...

I've done it by myself a few times... Manhandled off the back, not fun... And done the 4 posts with 2 beams method... Far easier and safer...

You could always come-along from a tree or something.. people build winch systems in their garages...

get or make 4 freestanding posts (stepladders would work too), they should be a little higher than the tops of your qrters... 2 towards the front, 2 to the back... unbolt, lift front from inside the truck with your back, slide beam from one post to other.. repeat in back... pull blazer out from under it...

i used to do mine by myself all the time. then i installed sliding windows. bet it gained an extra 75 lbs. or atleast felt like it. takes all i have. it's not the best way to do it. i just don't always have someone to help me. this summer i'm just gonna leave it off. if it rains i'll tarp it. otherwise topless i'll go. but lookin into a softtop as soon as possible

not sure on your year, but on Paulys 83, or whatever it is, there were two hidden nuts under the rail towards the back, behind the panels...

try to use two people,(at least) unless you don't care much about your back,,,it's a heavy beast, plus it size and shape make it complicating to move around by yourself.

I can't wait to get to my other top with the solid windows back on... I hate the sliders that are in the current one.. solids just look so much better, not to mention security, weight...

yep. very doable. controlling the bulk is the tricky part, imo. 200-300lbs isn't much if you balance it well. i did it many times before i set up my ropes in the garage a few years ago. removing the top only took me about 10 minutes, last weekend.
