i want to run 38's or maybe even smaller what is a good setup? i had it all figured out for my 86 but not my 69

mostly ground pounder/weekend family camping

i need to order it up so i can get my lift on.

i dont want to have to do much trimming . its a 69, im trying to do a really clean build with all stock except for d60, 14bff, nv4500, and a lift.

shackle flip? extended shackles? 56" or 63" or 52" swap?

on my 72 blazer I currently have a 4" susp. lift and 3" body. I'm running 39.5 tsl's and they rub if I "flex" it up going into my driveway... I'm currently getting parts together to go through it but it will end up with 8" front 9" rear and new body mounts, and get rid of the body lift. I'm going to use zero rates to move the axles forward and back. I expect with very little trimming I'll be good to go (not for crazy twisting, but otherwise should be good).

I agree with Z71. I run 6 inch springs front, 4inch flip, 3 inch spring, zero rate, and supershackles in rear with my 37" Krawlers along with gracious trimming. I do flex it and no rub, so with no or little trim and 38's I would go at least 8 inch lift.
