how important is the

little plastic vent tube on the top of a 700r4?
mine is busted off flush

as long as you don't do a lot of deep water you should be fine

Ive never hooked mine up, but then again, my 700r4's dont last long enough to make a difference anyways.

I accidentally broke mine off flush too but I JBwelded a piece of hard brakeline up against the hole and attached a hose to it.

i took the end of the hose and gooped a crapload of black RTV around it, so i hope that works out

When I rebuild this tranny I'm planning on drilling the remaining plastic stub out of the hole and either JBwelding the piece of brakeline in the hole or getting a small screw in barb fitting for it.

For some reason I didnt come up with this idea till it was in the truck. JB weld is kinda runny and I had to build up like 1/4" to make the brakeline line up with the hole. I ended up using like half of an entire package on that damn thing
