anyone know what the ideal length (sector shaft to tre of steering arm, toward rear of truck) of a steering arm is for x-over? I've got one cheap that I just need to have reamed out if the length is good. it looks like it's directly over the factory tie rod when it's centered.

damn 20 views and no reply? 10 of you better have tape measures in your hand measurin more than your metric hootus.

I can get the center to center measure off my Ford #1104 drop arm if you want that. I am not sure it is "ideal" though.

Looks to be about 6.5" from the center of the sector shaft to the center of the TRE hole. Drop on the #1104 arm appears to be roughly 3".

6.5" measured straight hole to hole or meausred layed out flat extending the hole up the 3" to the tape? if that makes sense

The 6.5" was measured straight. I didn't do it angled from hole to hole. It is just a flat measurement as if it was a flat piece of metal. Then I measured the drop.
