How long to get it licensed?

Aight, I've been after my parents for a month now to get the title for my truck, and they have yet to do it. I'm supposed to bring it up here to the mountains Labor Day weekend. If I apply for a lost title, will they give me a registration so I can drive it, or what?

I need this truck because the car is a monsterous POS! Plus I wanna show these Heep guys how the fullsize thing is.
