ive DD mine since i bought it stock when i was a senior in high school...now it gets worse gas mileage than a fighter jet, it has the aerodynamics of a garage door, and i have the power of 16 large turtles....but i love my truck

vortec roller 383, th400-208 (soon to be 700r4-203-205), D60 5.13 detroit, 14FF 5.13 detriot discs, and 38" radial tsls....also 8~9" lift, no sway bar, ****ty leaky exhaust, no horn or blinkers or brights or speedo or airfilter, ****ty brakes, and wierd noises coming from under my floorpan....but i drive the bastard every day and ppl still seem to like it i guess :dunno: ....

my first DD was a 1990 suburban 4x4 with 10"lift and 38" swampers. I totaled:doah: that one. and my parents gave me there 1998 tahoe that i put a 6" rcd lift with 33" xterains. then i got a 1989 toyota 4x4 v6 that is stok exept the 32" durango MTs that i stuffed under it. My next project is a 1985 blazer k5 with 6" lift and 35" BFGs. Every one of them served as my DD and good wheeler.

if any one is lookin for a mud tire that is good off-road and on-road u should look in to the Durango MTs i have had them on my toyota for a while and had very little ware..... the best part was that they where cheep. the only bad think i could think of with them is that they are loud on the road but i like it.... afterall they gotta hear you befor they see you:D

I DD my '84...but drivetrain wise, im bone stock with 33" Pro-Comp mud terrains. My '05 Colorado stays parked more than my Blazer does, the Coly is soon to be up for sale as well...going to use the extra money so i can restore the truck while i drive it.

My 89 K5 is a DD and light duty tow rig. I drive it everyday in winter and bad summer weather when I dont drive my Mustang convertable.
Stock 350, 700r4, 3.73 gears LS in the back, locker in the front
4" lift with both MT and AT 33"tires
Edelbrock Headers, Flowmaster exhaust, Bored TB and all the TBI mods. K&N, MSD, AC plugs gapped at .48
I get the best fuel milage with my AT tires. Average city/ highway combined mileage commuting 40 miles a day is 15-16 MPG.

When mine is running it gets driven all the time, I finally got some street rims and tires for it though. Looks kind of funny with 10" of lift and 33s

I used to daily drive my truck, now i bought a toyota for $600 and its better on the gas. I drove 40,000 a year on this thing last year.

and if the reading is not within this range does it mean that the sending unit is bad?... i guess i never said what it does either.. well when i put about 10gal.in the tank the gauge pegs past full and stays there. then in the last day or so (i have been going a long time on this 10 gallons.) the needle has been moving pretty quickly from full toward empty. it went from 3/4 to less than 1/2 within about 7-8 miles. it hasnt ran out yet but im planning on driving it till it does. just for $#its and giggles. to see if the gauge gets all the way to empty before it dies. but anyways thanks for the replys and i dont go to work tomorro till 5 so i can mess with the truck for a while.

My 91 burb get 9.25 MPG running 4:10s on 34.5" tires. and yes it my DD

185,000 miles, original body & frame.:haha:
Tire/wheel and gearing are new so I have no idea what MPG, but its less than before. Trip to work is 8 miles street, so the middle East could vaporize for all I care, lets start drilling the Rockies.:D

I DD mine all the time. It's my hotrod. 350tbi sm465 nv241 3.08 gears. Lights up the 33's ,does 75mhp in 2nd gear (at 5,200rpm got spare motor) 35's on there way when tires are dead. The blaze drives so good I haven't driven My loaded 03 sierra slt crew in two months. Sometimes i do miss the heated seats though.
