How many have been pulled over for their rigs?

got pulled over for pipes when i had my TA. i really dont think 137db is that loud. :haha: and it was full exhaust, with a muffler. :D

did said muffler simply hide a straight pipe, hehe. I know i guy who did that with his IROC.

One night I was out with 2 girls in my '81 that had 9" of lift and 40's with a flatbed looking for a mud road to drive down that leads to a creek. A county cop had caught up to me and was following me. I then missed my turn because I wasn't real familiar with this area, so I went into a rock lot to turn around and he followed us in and turned on his lights. He checked our ID's and asked what we were doing, so we told him we were going muddin' and missed our turn. He was nice enough to lead us back to the road we were looking for, and then he told us to have a good night and he left.

the blazer isnt quite ready yet but i imagine that i will have probs. looking like this
(i still have to add lights and such but just the overall look)

no, it was a Flowmaster single in dual out, full mandrel bent exhaust, ported headers, and a lumpy cam. i miss that car. :(

Yup..... 2 winters ago, got stopped 3 times on the freeway in a 2 week period by the same damn DPS officer for not having front bumper on.. Dude, I'll never forget that.... anyways I told the cop that I bought the truck that way, and I do have the bumper in the garage but no brackets and bolts. He left me off with a warning the first and second time. When he stopped me the third time, he was really pissed off and gave me one last chance, giving me 24 hours to get the bumper on, or face a citation. After a heated commotion, he added sternly, If I catch you on my highway without that bumper, I'm getting you a ticket!!!!! That kinda pissed me off a bit... then I almost told him, If this is your highway, then how come you're not keeping it clean... there's tire treads over here and Big Gulp rolling around over there, piece of foam at your foot.... but I bit my lip and moved on.... Wish I had some BIG balls to say that to him LOL
I also got stopped on the highway last spring for missing exhaust pipe. I explained to the DPS officer that the pipe broke off the weekend before from 4wheeling and I will get the whole exhaust redone the next weekend. The officer let me off with a warning. Then he said that my truck sounds awesome a half mile away. No kidding! I'm hearing impaired and it really was LOUD, I had to use earplugs....I'm surprised he didn't catch the missing catalyic convertors which weren't on the truck when I bought it.

Yea a buddy and I got pulled over for fourwheeling on village property, it was a friggin industrial park! We went to court and got a real a$$hole judge who had a bug up is a$$ that day. we ended up having to do 30hrs community service

I got pulled over years ago in the 72 I had. Cop heard me barking the tires into second and pulled me over. Gave me a warning for Bald tires. I was ok with it. could have been worse.

My 1st ticket was competition racing and second was exibition of speed. Loaded out of my gord I passed a cop running over 100 on the freeway. they were really cool to let me back in the car to go home.

I was caught speeding after coming home from work because i decided to take a different route home. The cop had a very good speed trap set up I didn't know the guy was clocking me until he was already signalling me to pull over. My speedo doesn't work and I was just going the speed of traffic. He said he clocked me at 49mph in a 30mph. I was also going down hill when he clocked me.

Got off with a warning. The cop also gave me crap about how my truck is too high. But I think he didn't understand the lift laws. Because for the 3 years I've owned it, my truck has passed inspection. Only once did the inspection guy ask me about the height of my truck.

I rember one afternoon heading to my girlfriends house I noticed an out of district cop tailing me. Well as soon I got to the next town he pulled off and about 5 mins later a state trooper is pulling me over. Keep in mind im 17, I just finshed my truck the week before and had to go try out the gears so the truck was plastered except for the lisence plate and lights. Well the officer pulls me over for a no seat belt. I have a dark interior w/ tinted windows 35% and sitting on 40's. So I ask how could he tell that I didnt have it on when im 5 foot taller than him? At this point I got a free vehicle inspection on the side of teh hiway i mean every thing down to the headlights working. Ended up w/ a no seat belt tickect and an expired registartion( out by two days) tickect.

Another time me a some friends were rolling through a neighboring town on the coast and were all given unclean vehicle tickects. We were like wtf turns out they had a city ordinace against it stupid rich people.

And of course the helicoter night. It was mardi gras weekend and all the guys were out at the local spot bsin when some a-hole decides it would be funny to shine a 5 million candle light spot light at an helicopter passing overhead. About 20 minutes later I get a call that 3 copters were circling over the trails and then hear an echo of sirens faded the voice away. I had bailed after that to get a drink from the lil store down the road. Turns out its considered a terorristic act to do something of that nature the rest of the guys spent the night in jail, while i sat ina field across the ditch watching the show. Needless to say that a hole has never been out with us since.

I get pulled over on average once a month. A redneck truck in a yuppie town = harrasment. After being pulled out of my car at gun point when I was 16 I'm always VERY curteous to cops and don't get tickets.

yea i get pulled over a lot for only 19...bastards. The best one was when i got pulled over for not having covers on the lights on my light bar(my tahoe). He let me off with a warning.....Then another time i got pulled over and this pyshco woman was all serious get your hands on the dash, so im like geez did i just run over someone. Well after i got out of the truck and put my hands on the hood, the told me they pulled me over because my truck fit the description of one that one tearing up mailboxes. So i get in the truck and was like, so what was the description...she responded a big black truck.I didnt respnond, just rolled up my window and left lol.

I just got one the otherday. I finally got my roof rack and light bar done and mounted so I took her for a spin. I got the truck all covered in mud and had a blast. Now I don't have any covers for my off road lights because I was having some covers made by my friends shop. I know its illegal but I was thinking who in their right mind is going to give me a hard time about this. Well I found out. I was cruising home after getting my hair cut, wasn't even going the speed limit, I was going under, enjoying the weather when this bike cop rolls up next to me. He was eye balling my truck for about a mile when we came to a stop light. I watched him look my truck up and down until he looked high enough, it was like he had found the holy grail. I could even tell with his body language that he finally found something. He pulls me over and says, "know why I pulled you over?" I say no, I don't. He says lights need covers. I tell him the covers were going to be ready later this afternoon because I was having some made. He says, license and registration... He gives me a ticket and tells me to have a nice day. Funny thing is, he wasn't even a real cop. He was one of those traffic enforcement guys who wear a brown uniform and cannot carry a gun!!! lol What a douchebag....

so what was the description...she responded a big black truck.

I know that line ALL too well. I was brought into some crazy all-out investigation involving some sort of theft ring all because I owned "a big black truck." I was questioned, harrassed by investigators and told I needed to take a 1.5 hour drive to their police station so we could all "talk." It eventually all got straightened out, but I never did get an apology for the insane amount of MY time they wasted investigating me JUST because I own "a big black truck" and was in a particular area of town.

not been pulled over in years--hope it stays that way!...

I've only been stopped about 5 times since I got my licence in 1977...never got a "real" ticket I had to pay, just written or verbal warnings..I did get asked at stoplights when a cruiser pulled up alongside if "that thing registered"??..or "how the hell did you get THAT on the road legally"??(when I was in my 72 Chevelle wagon that sat on a 69 Suburban chassis!)..last time I got pulled over was at least a year or two ago..you practically have to flip a cop off to get pulled over in my town..they are way too busy waching road construction, or doing other "busts" ,to do much traffic enforcement..

The only time I got pulled over, and was told to follow the cops to the station was in my 66 Buick Electra, around 1980??,I was about 22 then...it was maroon with a black top,and some moron was doing burnouts and doughnuts at a high school 3 miles from where I was stopped,in a similar "large dark red sedan"...they took me and my friend and put is in different rooms, and grilled us for nearly an hour about "why we were trashing the school grounds"..

They finally let us go when another cruiser caught a bunch of drunken teens red handed,in a 67 Oldsmobile Delta 88 that looked VERY close to my Buick!..they said we were "never under arrest",just "Under suspicion",so we could do nothing about them accusing us of a crime we didn't commit...but I was glad to just get the hell out of the police station..and VERY glad they didn't search MY car!..I had a case of beer in the trunk (unopened!)--and I later learned my "friend"( a guy I barely knew I agreed to give a ride home!) had something illegal in his coat pocket,(weed) that would have hung us both had they found it!..:eek1: ..(and he said he had none just minutes before we got pulled over!--F'N LIAR!!!!)..

I'm glad I'm an old fart now--don't miss being "profiled" because I'm young,or driving something that looks illegal...I have enough problems in my life without getting hassled by the cops..

we were heading straight from the offroad park to the carwash, for obvious reasons. a cop pulled us over before we got there. my plates, lights, and windshield stickers were covered in thick mud, and my wheels had so much heavy clay caked on that he said it was hazardous to other drivers. he also griped because the whole interior (including me) was covered in mud. he said it was unsafe. why? i don't know. then, he proceeded to bug my friend about pretty much the same things on his jeep. we convinced him we were about to take care of it, and he followed us to the carwash and watched from his car. watching hot chicks wash cars is great, but him watching us gave off a major gay stalker vibe, so we hurried and took care of the necessary stuff, then got out of there.

Got pulled over in my Ramcharger once in a parking lot for "exhibition of speed". It had the SM435 in it and if I wound up enough in 1st gear and let off the gas, it would lock up the rear end and chirp the tires. Stupid off duty dike b!tch working security at a movie theater wrote the ticket.

When I first got the SAS done on my Yota, I of course had to take it for a spin. Well I had some 33" swampers on the back and some street 29's on the front. Gave it that nice hill billy hot rod look. :haha: Cop got me doing 58 in a 30 at about 2am, no one else out. He said something about the truck swaying real bad. Not thinking I said "Well I haven't got the shocks on yet." :doah: He told me not to let him catch me driving the truck again with no shocks.

A week goes by and my shocks come in so I go up the hardware store to get some bolts. Guess who pulls in the lot? Yep, he made me park the truck until it had shocks or he was going to impound it. Didn't help that he went back across the street to the courthouse and sat in the parking lot watching.

The ol license plate light trick. This is what is know by the cops in my area as a prick ticket. Also we used it as a pc (probable cause) to go fishing (look for something else).

Also if they had a temp tag in rear window we could use the failure to illuminate and stop for that too. Also another thing was to say you were approached by a citizen and advised of a vehicle matching their description operating recklessly in the area. Ahhh the memories 85-8 dispatch I'll be out with a "insert vehicle type" License number "insert".
