Most of know that the Sm420 (1967-back) and the SM465 (1968-up) 4spds where used in the 67-72 chevys/GMC's

But GM also used the NP435 4spd in some of its pre 1972 trucks.......and from what I've been told, the 4x4 versions are extremely rare.

I have a 2wd version out of a 72 chevy. The 4spd lever is bent differently than the 465 style...........and looks similar to the 73-up style 465 levers...but not identicle.

Just curious who might have this trans in their vintage chevy/GMC...........since it was not a popular 4spd with GM as it was with Ford and Dodge.

the 4x4's did not come with them.

you could get the wide ratio (with the low first) or the close ratio, though. i don't know if you could get that in ford/dodge.

i don't own one, but i looked at a '68 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd with a 351 V6 and the close ratio 435, and a D60 FF rear axle that was for sale near me. neat truck.
