How Many Mile Per Gallon A 572 Get Compared To 454 TBI Pr Carb?

A 572 cubic inch engine is probably rated in "gallons per mile",not mpg!...
I'd guess if you got 5-7 mpg you'd be lucky..
I know of a few stock Caddy 500's that got over 10 mpg though..

"and strip your gears and blow up the rear too!"..
More power = more busted parts!..:D

A guy next to my friends shop just scored a '71 Camaro ,with a later 454,dual quads. TH400--for $1200 !..it even runs, drives, and stops!..
--it was sitting at a salvage yard,I guess someone gave up on it or maybe the owner passed away or whatever..it has a later nose on it,not much of the interior other than a drivers seat, but its not rotted bad, just a few holes in the floor & trunk..looks rough, but its very restoreable..
(I probably would have bought it!)..

He took it for a short ride up the street to a gas station about a mile away, after adding a gallon to the empty tank--it ran out of gas about 200 feet from the pumps!..good thing he got it going about 80 mph before it stalled,he was able to coast right up to the pumps..

I've owned 2 454's that would get 12-15 mpg on a good day--one in my '74 C-10 had a Holley 450 cfm "Economaster" carb and that thing did as well as a 350 would on gas,yet still burn the tires off it like nothing..other one with a Q-jet did almost as well..

Dang.....200 feet??

No,it ran OUT of gas 200 feet from the pumps...the gas station was a bit over a mile away...but he did floor it and showed off,it left rubber in all 3 gears..:D..dual 750 double pumpers are like flushing a toilet!..
You have to be careful to not stump on the throttle in a big block with little fuel left. Same goes for the 350. It could get you there with little fuel if you're light on the throttle by it sipping fuel

Yeah, he had one bad mamma jamma of a truck! Didn't his Bride have health issues or something?

Yeah, she had health problems but I don't know details. He posted in 03/2016 that he'd divorced and moved on but not much after that. I can't imagine that he actually sold the truck, as much money as he put in it you'd be real hard pressed to find a cash in hand buyer for what he'd likely want.
