How many miles a year do you guys put on your trucks? I have a 1986 Scottsdale with 350/700r4/np208 on 35" BFG's and its may daily driver (have a 2007 scion tc but it just sits now). I have since i owned it (march 2010) put about 6K miles on it with really no issues. I was just wondering how many of you use your truck for daily drivers and how many miles you put on them.

In the last 12 years, In my Suburban, I put about 500. I only got it up and going in 2010, And in that yr. about 500. Hopefully, in 2011 about 2000 miles.

My trucks only get in town use, actually Horton only gets trail use now.

From past experience I will probably lay down about 5k a year. We take the car on longer trips, more fun to drive and way better mileage

75 K5 trail only rig. 100 miles, She saw the street a couplke of times.

79 Ford Bronco = Mrs Boz's daily driver got about 8000.

'91 V-3500 = My daily driver About 10,000 miles

I just started DD'ing my burb again a few months ago. Gas is killing me.

26 miles a day = 780 miles per month = 9360 per year :eek1:

I plan on picking up a little honda commuter next month though.

I dont DD my Jimmy, but I could since I dont drive far. My 2008 Silverado is 40 months old and is just shy of 14,000 miles

I DD'd my K5 from June of '09 to August of '10. Put just over 16k on it including driving it from Seattle to Michigan and then four trips between Northern Michigan and Lexington, KY. I figure I did right about 12k in actual around town driving. Right now it just sits since I got my Tracker as a DD and it needs work.

I DD my 91 Blazer on 35's. Since I've owned from Oct. 07 to now, I've put 35,XXX on it. I drive it every day

My current rig at the present time I usually log on about 9000 miles a year. Now go back about 12 years ago when I was younger I was logging about 55,000 a year and most of that was just cruising around after work. Kinda funny what getting older and married and starting a family does to a person.

dd a 86 m1009 with 33's i put on a lil over 23,000 last year. i drive it ever day everwhere i go. it also gets used for some light wheeling and pulling stupied peolpe out.

20,000 on my work truck last year (94 International 4900)
100 or so a year on the trail truck
25,000ish on the family DD, Hmm...strange, just added up the family dd miles and we did 29,000 this year!! :eek1:

between the 3 we drive most often we put around 25,000 a year on them..

my K5 gets around 12,000 of that... now that gas is around $3 again she will see less road time...

Ok, I just got done adding up my fuel bill for the blazer for all of last year and here is the low down.

4,436.8 = miles driven
$1551.00 = fuel cost
19 = fill ups
507.4 = gallons of fuel pumped
$3.06 = average cost per gallon
$0.35 = cost per mile

Now that doesn't make 9.22 mpg on average sound too costly.

Oh well, that's why I have a second car that gets 2 1/2 times better mileage but I prefer to drive my blazer.

I just did an average of what i have put on the truck in the past 7 years that i have owned it at about 17,000/year, i did use it for awhile for personal business as basically a delivery vehicle through Phoenix area, similar to FedEx type stuff, put on about 200 miles a day doing that, some days more, some less.

Working on the 3rd engine now, 2nd one was a used one anyways, and this is the 3rd "working transmission" been rebuilt 3 times now, first two times was from a very incompetant trans shop,,original just died 2-3 shift quit, put in a used one, lasted a few years then quit shifting alltogether., that's what i get for paying so little i guess. Paid more on this one, working fine still.

all total, i have removed the engine in this thing twice to install a 3rd, and removed the transmission a total of 6 times, i forgot i borrowed a friends working trans for a few months till i could get the cash to have my original rebuilt for that 3rd time the right way. Needless to say, i can drop this trans out in about an hours time.:doah:

Well on my truck I put an average of 150k miles a year.
But on my pickup now I put about 5k a year, I used to put 30k a year before I started to drive for a living , now my wife does the driving when I am not working.
We did more than 8k miles in august alone.:dunno:
She puts about 6k a year on her car
