Are you around 16 and what mods does your truck have

I have a 78 stepside

44 front 12b rear
39.5 tsl's
4" ex ride hd front
Home made shackle flip rear
Buick aurora leather 12 way power seats :D
91 steering wheel
Rusted out cab and the waviest body you'll ever see
And a few other less major mods

Coming up in thenext few months....

Beer keg gas tank
14bff rear and 8 lug 44 or 10b front Might get lucky and get a 60 but the donor truck probably doesn't have one.
Cooler wheels

I'm 17, for the next month. I have an 89 k5 with a fubared TBI, disked 3/4 tons, minispool front, govlock rear, 4" tc easy rides up front, shackleflip rear, fender trimming, bald 38.5x15.5x16.5 Gumbo Monster Mudders. My engine is getting an overhaul whenever I get more cash, and I'm getting a set of hummer tires for my 18th bday in about a month. Still got another year of highschool.

im 19....damn im getting old. but mines an 89 k5 with 6" springs all around,2" body,38 tsl radials,14bff,10b 8 lug, headers, true dual....normal teen stereo...hmmm...thats about it....but in my garage is a 400hp crate 350 waiting for me and a new tranny....i cant wait!

I'm 20, I have a frame with no front diff, and a box

Yeah, it needs a bit of work :P

I've had a whole lotta vehicles though, here they are in order of purchase:

1980 GMC C25 -- The one that started it all, still in the shop
1976 GMC C25 -- Parts rig, sitting in the dump at the farm after being stripped
1974 Chevy C20 -- Parts rig initially, DD for 6 months afterwards
1979 GMC K25 -- Parts rig, grabbed the frame / chassis and scrapped the rest
1989 Chevy C1500 -- Traded for the 74 C20, wound up being a miled out peice of crap with an inaccurate odometer, but I daily drove it regardless.
1977 GMC C15 Stepside -- Bought to replace the 89 after I blew my 2nd engine and 3rd transmission. Daily driver for about 8 months
1996 GMC K1500 -- Needed something a bit better on gas, and more reliable in the winter, current daily driver.
1985 Chevy Blazer -- Bought as a trail rig, but didn't wind up doing anything with it
1983 GMC Jimmy -- 6.2L diesel truck with less than 50 000 miles. Bought it cheap cause the torque converter bolts backed out making the previous owner think that the engine started hammering, and that the transmission had died. Sold both it and the Blazer as a package deal
1985 Chevy K25 -- Parts rig, gonna grab the parts I need for my 80, then sell it back to the kid I bought it from dirt cheap

I am almost 19 and have a 73 k5 that I have been working on for 3 years. It was a piece when I got it the floors were held up by cinderblocks, the gas tank had a couple holes, and you needed a toggle switch to start it. Now it has 4" springs choped doors an almost done cage, 350 tbi with some good stuff added on, 1 tons with the rear welded. I have some 12 bolt h1's that are going on soon with some 38.5" swampers, then comes the bumpers and a stinger tire carrier.

Im 22 now but back When I was 16 I had a C10 with a 6.2, and 3.73s in the 10 bolt. It would actually go through quite a bit of stuff till I trashed the 700

First ever car at 16 was my '87 K5.

Eventually got 3" all spring Superlift and 32's, then upgraded to 35's.
700R4 was slipping so installed TH350. Then replaced tired as hell TBI 305 w/ mystery small block that ran like a raped ape.

Then I beat the **** out of that thing for about a year, til it no longer ran and the body was caked up with mud and rusty as possible.

Now it's me and my dad's parts vehicle. lol

Now have a beautiful shape '78 K10 that i do NOT plan on beating.
Built 350/SM465/NP205/D44/12B
I installed a 4" RC lift and removed my sway bar. Contrary to what almost everyone on here said it rides well, and flexes great.
Put my 35's from my K5 on.

Next is 3/4 ton swap!

Currently 18y.o

I destroyed a 2wd 86 suburban

Funnest time I've had

BFG at's do dam good for whatI was going through

The speedo said 40 mph and It wasin 1st gear

Got it on 2 wheels also

Too bad the rear end broke

I should have a 86 with a 14bff and 454 soon, 2wd also

That should be fun if it ever rans

I've actually never took my truck out in the mud yet after the mods

I can't find any mud

I paid 1000 bucks for my 86 K5 when i turned 16. I made it drivable and it served as my DD for about a year. Frist thing that broke was a 10 bolt rear from a burnout (replaced it). Then my rear driveshaft came loose going about 50 and busted the hell out of my np208 (reuilt it). A little later I broke the back of my th700 off. Just working my way through the drivrtrain.... Put the truck in my shop a year ago, has not moved since then). To get around I went and bought a slightly newer, smaller version of my K5. I got a 2000 Blazer with a vortec v6, same color and everything... Now my K5 can be built right...

So far: (18 now)
14b rear, D44 front -- 4.10 gears
DIY shackle flip & switch

In progress:
Rust bullet (frame, axles, etc.)
OD green paint job
Building a 350

Future: AKA "Got Money"
front susp.
replace th700
2'' body lift?
38'' TSLs!!

17 at the time, 18 now..Traded in my near-mint(looking) 93 Thunderbird Super Coupe 5-speed (one of 1,038 ever made), even trade for my Blazer. Too bad the guy never test drove it before he decided to do an even trade. There was something wrong with it. Black sut poured out the exhaust, and the head gasket was pretty much gone. He got a nice looking car with a bad engine, and I got a crappy looking truck with a decent engine..

1983 Blazer Custom Deluxe.
-Newer GMPP 350 Crate Engine
-Mild cam
-Gear timing set (no chain)
-Finned edelbrock valve covers
-New clutch, pressure plate, resurfaced flywheel
-New posi & ring/pinion
-Rough Country 4" lift
-35" BFG Mud Terrains
and a crap load of other new parts to make it road worthy.

Now the bad..
-Rust. mud. 24 years of dirt/grime.
-2.73's... good gas, but not enough oomph for the highway entrance ramps or big hills.
-Primer paint. Easy fix when scratch, but looking aged.
-no radio or speakers, and I broke my CB antenna.
-Just snapped an axle shaft. (last night)
-knocked driver side window off track when I punched door when I got pissed... :doah:

im 18 now and have owned 2 k5's...

1: '76 w/ 400sbc, 4in lift w/ 33" bfg mt's
that thing was daily driven, getting 9 MPG and rusty, so i sold it
2: '84 w/ 6.5L Diesel out of a 98 (60,000 miles) banks sidewinder turbo, th400 manuel valve body trans w. HD clutches and shift kit (B&M ratchet shifter), twin stick np205, custom CV shafts by Jesse at HAD, dana 44 w/ crossover and highsteer, 14bff w. detroit and disk brakes w. 76 eldo calipers, custom bumpers, warn 8274 winch, 37" SSR's

so thats where all of my money has gone for the last year
