Just wondering If any one uses Ebay a lot for parts. I didn't put Parts store/wrecking yard in the poll cuz that is a given. We all shop there.
I was just looking at my Pay Pal bill and realised I may spend too much time on Ebay. I live in a small town with no good junk yards around. Local parts store is good, and give me a good discount but they have to order everything if you want performance stuff. So I spend a lot of money and time on Ebay buying parts. Usually get the things I need a lot less than if I had to buy from Summit or similar mail order. So far have always got good stuff. I think I have totally built my Mustang with parts from Ebay. Just got a new Aluminium radiator for $102.00 with free shipping.:thumb:

I buy alot of NOS stuff you can't get anywhere else. eBay, worlds biggest garage sale. I bought my whole stereo system from eBay too. Saved about $300.

I bought some gray OEM buckets for my K5 on ebay. The originals were stolen and I thought I would bever see a pair again. Ebay saved the day!

ive bought a couple things on there, prefer to buy parts off ck5 tho. pretty much no matter what, its cheaper than the local junk yards

I buy and sell on E - Bay, I bought a Painless wiring harness from summit 2 years ago, then checked E- bay. I could have saved a hundred bucks. New in box. Kicked myself for that one.

Ebay or...

Rockauto.com
I live about 20 miles from anything, so I have to buy a lot online.
I was thinking, we all get emails from vendors and websites that offer a coupon code...why not start a forum listing them so we can ALL save a few bucks!!!

I only buy straight bolt in parts. I don't buy specialty parts. I did win a D44 diff cover last week for a penny, but it cost me $8.05 for shipping. Nothing like shipping costing 800% more than the item cost! :haha: :haha:

i do a lil of everywhere. it doesnt seem like any one place has enough of anything...;)

thats 8000% more not 800. that is a big diff huh?

I buy from time to time.. but mostly computer stuff I can sell At my store for about twice the price

ebays been great to me, just watch what your buying, ive bought racing seats, a dune buggy, dune buggy motor, 6 wheeler, and lots of various other things off ebay.

I even bought my K5 on ebay (but the seller and truck were only a few miles from me, so I checked it out and drove it before I even bid). Other than that, just books and brochures, shop manual, that kind of thing.

buy from there all the time. I just check the sellers location and feedback to try and protect myself before buying

I get most auto parts from pick-n-pull, or the classifieds here. I do buy a lot of tooling for my lathe on ebay, there are great deals on lots of HSS tool bits, already ground to shape, at most they just need a few more passes on the grinder to sharpen them up.

Buy and sell on Ebay, had good luck with both but shipping can be the deciding factor on heavier parts. Don't forget swap meets, my favorite place to find truck parts.
