I voted Summit, because by far that is the one I've used the most. I think I've only purchased 2 parts on ebay, and one of them I decided not to use and sold it on ebay. I've actually sold quite a few parts on ebay.

You bet.Just gotta watch the shady sellers...:deal:

Then again, the people at Summit love my money also..

i voted ebay cause i do use it. i will never buy from a low feedback seller. never had much trouble but have been leary lately hearing of the scam artists present. used parts hard to find etc. that's where i look. on the other hand concerning summit racing and jegs, they rock:waytogo: i have probably spent $50,000 between the two (no bullsh$t) mostly summit but some jegs, jegs seems to offer more racing focused stuff. no risk involved with both those guys:D ebay does involve risk although in my dealings i have had good luck:dunno:

ebay is o.k.

step 1 find it and dont just use the correct spelling or aplications. some are listed wrong. those are the best buys as thay dont get as much looking at.

step 2 feedback says tons of the person and the sales in the past.

step 3 ask questions and be smart as it might be close but not exact part. i got 1/2 ton backing plates 1 time and he said 3/4 ton plates. my stupid oh well. when i got to install them it was to late as it had been a bit of time.

step 4 have fun and good luck.:wink1:

I bought some gray OEM buckets for my K5 on ebay. The originals were stolen and I thought I would bever see a pair again. Ebay saved the day!

Yeah, they probably were your old ones :haha:

J/K We have actually had things stolen here at work then found on E-bay (needless to say someone got in BIG trouble.).

I have bought things off e-bay if I could not find it anywhere else (Summit, participating vendors, local parts stores, etc.).

so long as you check out the seller and they have good feedback, im never hesitent to buy off ebay, and i havent been burnt yet. i even found my 89 IROC on ebay, didnt buy it there, but i found it there and bought it in person when it didnt reach its reserve price the first time around.

i only use it if i can save some $$, otherwise i go summit (i pass the akron store on my way to school) or the junkyard.

for example, i got a D60 1410 yoke off ebay for $25 about a week ago.

My 70 T Bird neede a new ignition switch. It is an obselete part, only available used or NOS. Specialty places wanted $160.00 for one. I"m checking out ebay, and score one still in the box for 31 bucks!!! Life is good.

Yeah I use ebay all the time. I have heard rumored horror stories about paypal getting hacked and personal account info getting stolen. Though I'm NOT SURE if it was true or not. I still use paypal.

I used to buy a lot of truck/car parts off eBay but for the most part it doesn't have the stuff I need for a reasonable price (can find locally, buy from a CK5 or PBB vendor for less) much anymore. For example, anything related to "dana 60" is by far cheaper to buy locally or from a vendor. For example, most vendors will sell you a Dana 60 front differential cover (thick style) for $16 plus shipping. They go on eGay for $40+. Spindles that you can buy from a vendor for ~$100 shipped, get from an auto parts store for $110, et cetera often go on eBay for $100 plus some obnoxious shipping charge... and it's used.

If you factor in the time you waste looking for anything "dana 60" or related, you often spend more than just sending a few PMs on the forums.

Half ton stuff you can find cheap on there. Or anything that has a wide range of use.

I do buy a lot of other stuff on eBay though. I just spent $600 on home theater stuff on eBay.
