How many of you get bugged all the time by real experts?

ya, im always afraid that will happen on here when i ask a really stupid newbie question. having 150+ posts and paying my $25 doesn't mean i know JACK about wheeling. im definitely in the learning phase. so far everyone's been great about answering questions that they were probably thinking "man this guy's an idiot." i've got no one around here to teach me anything and i can't really (monetarily) afford to learn from my mistakes so i gotta make sure everything's kosher before i go blindly tearing into the beast, since it's also what i depend on to get me places. i appreciate everyone's willingness to help newbies around here. thanks all /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

i agree with that, nobody knows anything until they learn, what im talking about those people who dont ASK anything they TELL you how dumb yours is how much better theres is based on hieght or sticker price. Hell if it wasent for The General i would prolly still be driving a stock truck or ended up paying someone else to work on it

The one that really fires me up is some clown coming up to the truck or other vehicle I have built. He walks around it grinning and nodding wisely then turns to me and says "THAT USED TO BE MINE!" God that makes me mad, /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif someone else taking credit for my work. My Blazer used to be Red/White and now it's Red metallic, Even if I show pic's of it being painted, they grin and say, "I'm pretty sure thats my old blah blah blah".

"I had an old scout that was just like that but even stock it would go anywhere......"
"You need some skinny tires on that, them big ole fat ones don't work at all, that's the first thing everybody does and my old bronco with stock tires just walks around 'em in the mud."
"wow, my brother in law has a bronco too but it's not like that"
So I say "Oh yeah, cool" and finish filling the tank so I can leave before anything else happens.

It was Lowcountry. I was down there for a coop job at Bosch and one of my friends said they were the best place to go. I never did get a chance to check out Highrollers.

The "in-law" stories are the ones I seem to get. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Its a cross we all will have to bear. I think if you take a cross of the population, You will find that most people are stupid and just going though life just to live it. They are not really living and trying to get the most out of it. These are the sources of the stupid comments and theres nothing that can be done about it. Unfortionataly, these people are needed for the day to day boring jobs that keep us all going in our lives. So think of it this way, These stupid people are almost like slaves, Keeping the burgers coming and the trash cleaned up. We can put up with a few dumb comments. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If it was'nt for sapper or The General I would'nt have any of the ideas I have thanks guys o yea paul Im done with the grinder looks like Im gonna have to start cutting some metal there was more rust than i thought hehehe thanks again

i was buying the rotors for my trucks rear disk conversion today.the parts store guy asked me why i wanted disks in the rear instead of the 200 pound drums.he said his always worked good.guess he likes the added weight and slow stopping and having to take the whole thing apart to clean it after a mudding excurtion.i thought this was kinda funny.thought id share

I am an expert hahaha!, to many kids my age think this,my blazer is my dream and i've been building it for almost 2 years, so.....

Ask yourself, Do ya feel lucky today? Cause when it's done you'll have to live with "is this Shawn's Blazer Run over My honda Day"? FOR THE REST OF YOUR i DRIVE A FART CANED CAR DAYS! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Oh god Stephen, I know exactly what you mean. When I was younger I tried to explain things to them. Yeah, we all know how that goes. I just nod, smile, bite lip, leave quickly.
