How many people have there offroad trucks plated and insured? (poll inside)

my truck will cost
$175 for plates and
$700 insured for liability only

It's all about location. We're now in Phoenix and we pay double what we were payin 140 miles to the north in a smaller town. Same company and same broker.

Sucks but you do whatcha gotta do.

Good luck to y'all in the future.

damn for my 78 blazer DD i am paying /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif $5,600 /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif a year for basic coverage... and i cant get anyone to insure my 70 Big block duster... i swear you run from the cops a few times get a couple 120mph in a 55 zone, and you become the bad guy... not only that i am in new jersey so prices are sky high anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif/forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif granted it is my own fault but id say bite the bullet.

Man insurance sucks A$$! My insurance runs me $50 a month on a vehicle that might see 1,000 miles a year /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I have 3 vehicles my house and travel trailer through my ins co and have not had a ticket since '90.

Allstate lets me change back in forth between vehicles I have been doing it for the last three years I drive my little ford ranger in the winter and my 89 Jimmy in the summer. Hell nobody will get close to the ranger in the winter dont know why but they always try to hit my jimmy talk about defensive driving.. Tags are $64 a year for the ranger and $74 for the jimmy.. But hell catch this my T-600 KW is $749 dollars a year for tags and insurance $10614 a year . My car ins is around $1100 a year. I also have 2 more offroad tks that don,t have ins are plates on them but they have to be put on a trailer to get them to the trails... /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif

Damn, I only pay about $100 a month for full coverage on my 98 Z71 and the 98 Tahoe.

Shop around for a different company. My insurance company will let me add and drop vehicles whenever I want. Plus, if I have a vehicle I only drive once in a while, I can call my agent and put a binder on it for a couple of days when I want to drive it, as long as I give a few days notice.
