Merry X-Mas to you fools!

What up?

Yeah my membership expired can't post this in the chit chat. :doah:

Put 4 quarts in and check the dipstick. I think its more like 4 1/2.

BTW, why would you ever post something like this in the lounge? People have been hung for less :deal:

You ever make that Pontiac run yet????

No

Got a pretty motor on a stand though. Drill two more holes in the block for the motor mounts, throw the Mildon pan on it, Elite valvecovers, new aluminum valley, intake and buy a new flywheel and its ready to go in.:D

400, 6x heads, .040 over, little bit of a cam, Eddlebrock RPM intake, Demon 750 on top and a cheap set of Summit headers. I have a Saginaw 4speed to put in place of the Munci 3 speed even...too bad I can't find the right shifter this side of $300 for that.

Too bad I am freaking broke to buy the flywheel I need. If I had that I actually have the rest of the parts so that I could put the 3speed in and drive it! :o

Hey Grimmy, good to see you still check in now and then. :waytogo:

Have a great Christmas and New Year...and maybe ask Santa for a CK5 membership :wink1:

Uhhh, I'm pretty damn sure Grimmy doesn't need info on sbc oil capacity. This was his way of saying hello while superficially staying within the forum topic. Soooo, can we please stop responding with oil capacity 'tech'...

Thank goodness a Mod came in and explained that. I was beginning to think that 400 people had found some tech they knew and were going to respond.:haha: :haha:

Sorry Dorian, yours was just the last reply. My response was in general, not aimed at you in particular.

For those that don't know, Eric (Grim Reaper) used to be a moderator here and a tech guru with several tech articles under his belt...

My Tree fifty is a Pontiac....does that matter? :haha:

My 22re Holds more oil then my SBC did in my K5 LOL.

How have you been friend? What is new with you?

I may well find my silly butt on your end of the world one day and come visit. Trying to get my chit together and go visit Doug in CO this year. Do some camping in Canyonland, monument valley, stuff like that. Wife has an issue with 10k passes so going to do most of that solo. May come back to some of the lower stuff with the Airstream at a later time.

Building a little long haul expedition traveler out of a 86 4Runner. I can afford to feed it at 21mpg. Won't be no rock crawler but will go where I want...mostly forest service roads. Still have the IFS on it for better road manners.
